With the new season coming up, Reserve Team Manager Robbie Matthews reflects on the pre season programme, “After a long and difficult season last year, it was always imperative that we got a good pre season under our belts this year, as people are aware we have seen many positive changes at the club this pre season and I’d like to welcome our new Sunday team, ladies, youth and under 10 teams to the club, I am sure they will all add great things to the club and play a huge part in the ongoing development of West Kirby FC. We are delighted to have Andy Cass, Andy Jones, Symon Stanley, Jimmy Cross and Gareth Brooks on board, all are experienced guys with plenty to offer and we look forward to seeing the positive influence they all bring to the club.
The pre season programme led by first team manager Peter Nielson has been heavily focused on fitness, strength and conditioning with huge positive results, the fitness levels of the players has been fantastic and we are confident this will have a huge impact on the season.
The pre season fixtures have been extremely positive with good results, challenging games and lots of positives with new signings and players getting vital game time in preparation for the upcoming season. We are pleased we have been able to bring in some quality and experienced players and we are keen to hit the ground running and get a good start for all our teams this season.

Best Wishes and thanks for your ongoing support.
