Appointed as Chairman in December 2016, Richard has previous experience of running successful clubs such as Meols FC for many years. A sales professional by day Richard has clear objectives and goals for a strong West Kirby FC future. His relentless work gives senior committee members confidence the club is in good hands off the pitch for the foreseeable future.
A veteran of over 50 years in football, 20 plus of those spent here at West Kirby FC, Roy is a true football stalwart and has dedicated himself to ensuring the future of the club. Roy’s drive and passion for the club is evident to all and he remains a huge asset and a vital cog at the club. A predatory striker in his playing days, Roy turned to refereeing on his retirement and excelled with a whistle as he had as a goal scorer.
Robbie has been at the club for 4 years now, taking on a number of roles as well as Reserve Team Manager, he is responsible for our kits as well as managing the club welfare and safeguarding matters. Robbie is a true club man and dedicates time, effort and commitment to the club on a daily basis, the type of person amateur clubs rely on. Robbie is hugely determined for the club to truly reach our potential.
Alan is undoubtedly Mr West Kirby after serving the club for over 50 years in a number of roles from player up to his current role of President. Alan remains the most staunch supporter of the club and never misses a game. A real gentleman, Alan is a fountain of knowledge about the club and is happy to regale visitors with stories of all things West Kirby FC, still an active member of the club and a great link to the past of the club as we drive on towards building a successful future.
Margaret is the one who undertakes all the club administration, and with 6 teams at the club her work is hugely important and continually completed to the highest standard. Margaret’s work with rolling out the new FA Whole Game System has allowed West Kirby FC to become a real flagship club. Margaret’s boundless enthusiasm and energy for the club is second to none and she remains a vital member of the club.
Darren has recently changed role to become the clubs new Director of Football, responsible for overseeing all things football. Darren has shown his dynamic and forward thinking approach and we are excited to see the positive effects of Darren’s drive and ambition. Darren has already begun to create a one club philosophy and the results of his approach will bring success to the club.
Matty has been at the club for a few years now fulfilling many roles including serving as assistant manager to both first and reserve teams. A teacher in his day job Matt is a very organised and works very methodically. A huge asset to the club, he has now taken on a new role in working as Assistant Director of Football, a role everyone at the club is confident he will undertake with the same passion and commitment as always, Matt has a sound knowledge of football and will vital in moving the club forward.
